COVID 19 Mortgage Information
With everything that's going on, Mortgage Lenders have been trying to figure out ways to work with their clients to relieve some of the financial pressures that come along with this unfortunate situation we are all in.
Lenders have decided to offer up to 6 months of payment deferrals to clients who NEED this type of help. It is not for just anyone who wants it.
Each Lender is handling their deferral program differently with regards to how the are restructuring the client's mortgage after the deferral period so you'll need to get that information from them directly. Some Lenders have posted information on their website about it.
To find out if you qualify, you will need to contact your Lender directly. The phone lines are bombarded, as you may already know, so expect to be on hold for a while.
You can also try emailing your Lender.
If you think that you'll qualify for a deferral, TMG (Castle's National Broker partner) has developed an application form that you can fill out and email directly to your Lender to apply.
